This page covers the download and installation of the TSR Workshop to run the software properly.


.NET Framework 3.5

This framework is required to run the TSR Workshop properly. Download it from here and install it:


Download the latest TSR Workshop from the following link and save it to your computer where you find it again.


The only place the TSR Workshop should be downloaded from is The Sims Resource. We take no responsibility for any versions downloaded from other sources.


You need to extract the installation file from the compressed archive with WinRar or WinZip. After you installed one of those programs you can usually rightclick the to extract it.

TSR Workshop Setup

Double click the TSRW.exe to start the TSR Workshop Setup. Windows might give you a warning about the publisher not being verified. If so, just continue.

Click Next to proceed.

End-User License Agreement

You need to agree to the End-User License Agreement in order to proceed with the installation of the TSR Workshop. Click on Next to do so. The EULA can also be found here:

Choose the directory you want TSR Workshop to have installed to and click Next.

Click Install to start the installation of the TSR Workshop.

The installation is completed. Tick Launch TSR Workshop and click on Finish.


Sometimes TSR Workshop requires that you specify manually The Sims 3 installation directory at first start-up. This is usually:

  • C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3
