Did You Know?
A sim can use lifetime happiness points to purchase a Collection Helper, which will assist in finding Butterflies, Beetles and other collectibles.
Butterflies
- Butterflies are caught via the "Catch" interaction when you see Butterflies fluttering in the air throughout the neighborhood.
- The rarest and most valuable Butterflies are sometimes very hard to find, so don't expect to find them all at once.
- You can sell Butterflies in order to make money. Either sell them directly from your Sim's inventory or to the Science Facility (which pays more).
- You can place your Butterflies in Terrariums simply by dragging them out of your inventory. Terrariums can be placed on the floor or tables, and can stack up to four high. Thankfully the Terrariums require no tending to, they are simply a living decoration that your Sims can view.
Cool Tip!
Make your Butterflies more personal by naming them. This can be done either in your inventory or in the Terrarium.
Beetles
- Beetles are caught via the "Catch" interaction when you see Beetles crawling on the ground throughout the neighborhood.
